Translation Agency of Ontario is a Canadian translation company largely focused on translation of personal documents for the purpose of immigration. They are certified by the Association of Translators and Interpreters of Ontario.
They provide a number of high-end translation services with highly qualified translators. Personal document translations typically have to be translated by certified agencies in order to be used in official processes such as immigration processing.
In this review, we will break down our experience with TA Ontario, as well as details about their price structure and services.
Services
TA Ontario is mostly specialized in personal document translation, but they provide a number of other services, as well:
- Regular certified translation
- ATIO certified translation
- Notarized translation
- Uncertified translation

Accuracy
The accuracy of our test job was very good. We sent in a batch of personal documents for regular certified translation. The batch included photo identification, certificates, and some educational transcripts.
Although the price of having these documents translated was a bit higher than the industry standard, the quality was exceptional. This is great for people who need certified document translation, since organizations are usually very particular about document translation.
Pricing
Prices for translations from TA Ontario will vary according to the language pair, type of document, and type of translation requested. However, there are some basic starting prices listed on their website:
- Regular certified translation starts at $59 per document
- ATIO certified translation starts at $89 per document
- Notarized translation starts at $99 per document
- Standard (non-certified) translation starts at $0.10 per word
The prices for certified translation are relatively high, but the quality speaks for itself. Detailed price quotes can be requested through their website. Orders can be placed via mail or through the form on the order page.
Support
Although our translation was delivered completely free of errors, we requested a re-translation of one document using a different certification. The quality was still excellent, and the customer service team was able to help us through the process comfortably.
The customer service team can be reached by email or phone. There are separate offices in Toronto and Ottawa, and walk in services are also available. Although the customer service was fine, it would be nice to have something like chat support in addition to phone and email.
Final Thoughts
All-in-all, TA Ontario did an excellent job translating and re-translating the documents we provided. Their customer service team was also very friendly, and the whole process was comfortable from start to finish.
If you need official documents translated by certified translators, then this is a great option if you’re willing to put in the cash. The service is a bit more expensive than some other certified translators, but the results are worth the extra.
